Jakarta: Indonesia’s fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies remain secure ahead of the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) holiday period, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said on Sunday.
Bahlil said national fuel reserves are well above the minimum standard following a briefing from state energy firm Pertamina and the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).
“The national minimum reserve standard is seven to eight days. Currently, fuel stocks average more than 18 days, with some reaching close to 21 days,” Bahlil said in Jakarta.
He assured the public that supplies of diesel fuel, RON 90 gasoline (Pertalite), and higher-octane gasoline remain sufficient, adding that LPG stocks are also above the national minimum level.
“There is no need for public concern, as fuel and LPG availability is well secured,” he said.
Bahlil praised Pertamina and other energy sector stakeholders for ensuring optimal energy availability during the peak holiday season.
Fuel stocks remain stable across various categories. RON 90 gasoline reserves stand at around 19 days, while RON 92 gasoline (Pertamax) exceeds 23 days. Higher-grade RON 95 gasoline (Pertamax Green) has reserves of more than 31 days.
Diesel supplies include subsidized CN48 diesel at approximately 15 days and non-subsidized CN53 diesel exceeding the national reserve standard of 25 days. Aviation fuel (avtur) stocks are estimated to last around 29 days.
In addition to fuel, Bahlil said LPG availability remains a key focus of the government’s year-end energy security strategy to ensure smooth household and transportation activities during the holiday period.
